Microsoft Research are able to speed the digital to physical translation of genetic designs to data generation for machine learning, via Synthace’s laboratory control software platform.

Synthace provides the physical execution engine for automated genetic construct assembly and cellular bioassay setup (Build and Test stages) whilst Microsoft Research use machine learning approaches for model parameterization and custom design software for subsequent genetic device design (Learn and Design stages).

Easy to use drag-and-drop interface. Synthace’s graphical user interface and Workflow Builder enable biological scientists to flexibly design or use predefined workflows for automated construct assembly, bacterial transformation and plating out. They can also easily repurpose these on a case-by-case basis.
