- We combined our Synthace platform and SPT Labtech's dragonfly® discovery dispenser to automate the execution of a space-filling DOE, a type of modern DOE design that would have been impossible to execute manually
- We tested 12 factors in parallel using a space-filling DOE to characterize the design space of a spectrophotometric assay and developed models for yield and initial rate in just one 4-day long experiment that consisted of 3,456 runs
- We developed an end-to-end automated framework for rapid assay characterization and optimization within a matter of days, thus creating a cost effective and repeatable protocol which can be widely adopted by assay development groups
Anne has extensive R&D and commercial experience in automated liquid handling and high throughput analytical techniques, spanning both genomics and drug discovery applications. She is currently the Product Manager for the dragonfly® discovery dispenser and has played a key role in the launch of the new 3- and 6-head dragonfly® discovery models.
Anne graduated from the University of Oxford with a M.Chem. in Chemistry and D.Phil. in Chemical Biology. She completed her academic training with a post-doctoral career development fellowship in Protein Engineering at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, UK.

Shama is a fourth year EngD student receiving her doctorate from the Biochemical Engineering Department while collaborating full-time with Synthace Ltd, where she is hosted.
Shama’s project involves executing and analysing large automated high-dimensionality experiments that follow a DOE framework to rapidly characterize and optimize enzymatic assays using the Synthace software platform on a range of automated devices.
