Don’t worry, we’re happy to explain everything in our helpful guide so that you can prepare properly.

FAQs

This isn’t something we have in place yet. As we grow this may change, but we don’t currently plan on there being one in the foreseeable future. We do sometimes have openings that could suit new grads - usually in our Commercial team - so keep an eye out if you’re interested.

We have had internship projects in the past, but we don’t currently plan on running any new programmes for the time being. If you would like to register your interest in case this changes in the future, please use the ‘General application’ options to upload your details.

Almost all of our openings are based in our HQ in White City Place, West London. That’s where you’ll find our on-site lab team, software engineers, product, operations, and most of our commercial team members too.

We also have a commercial office in Boston (Cambridge, MA), where we have a business development and customer success (Field Application Scientist) team to support our customers in that location.

We’ll state the location of each role in the description, so keep an eye out if you’re interested in working in a specific place.

It depends, but we don’t recommend applying to more than two openings at a time. You should have a clear idea in your mind about which roles you’re best suited to and would enjoy most.

When we review your details we’ll generally compare your skills and experience against a number of our openings and will potentially let you know if you could be a better fit for something else.

We don’t recommend applying to the same position multiple times. If you are unsuccessful we suggest waiting at least 10-12 months before applying to the same role again. We’ll keep you in mind for any potentially suitable openings as they come up in the meantime.

You can register your interest by applying to one of the ‘General Application’ openings on the careers site.

We would also recommend keeping an eye on our careers site, as we’ll continue to post more openings as we grow.

We do our best to review applications regularly. In most cases you should hear back within 1-2 weeks - either to book in an initial screening call, or to let you know that you haven’t been chosen to go any further.

In some cases we leave a slightly longer gap to enable us to compare a larger number of applications before deciding who to take forward. Generally though, if you haven’t heard back from us after 4 weeks it may be worth following up as there may have been an issue with your application. You can contact us at jobs@synthace.com.

If you are invited to interview with us we will make every effort to provide feedback within a matter of days after you speak with us. If you come for an on-site interview we aim to make a decision on whether to make an offer within 48 working hours.

We can reimburse reasonable travel and accommodation costs if you’re travelling a long way to see us. Further details will be provided before you book in your interview - please ask your recruiter if you’re unsure about anything.

Note to Recruitment Agencies

Our focus is finding amazing talent ourselves. We have moved away from using agencies for most of our hiring and rarely use agencies at all, but if we do need help we reach out to our list of preferred suppliers, which we review from time to time.
