Bob Wiederhold

Bob’s 25 years of experience as a CEO of early-stage software companies brings significant benefit to Synthace. But his experience in helping build the Computer-Aided Design industry while in senior leadership at Cadence in the 80’s and 90’s is equally important as we work to build a Computer-Aided Biology industry. Bob joined Cadence as one of its first employees and helped grow it to a multi-billion-dollar company, a journey he hopes to repeat at Synthace.

Most recently, from 2010 to 2017, Bob served as CEO of Couchbase, a leading NoSQL database company. From 2002 to 2009, Bob was CEO of Transitive, the leader in cross-platform virtualization with over 20m users. From 1997 to 2001, Bob served as CEO of Tality, the worldwide leader in electronic design services whose revenues grew to over $200m. And prior to that from 1993 to 1996, Bob served as CEO of High-Level Design System, a leading electronic design automation company that was acquired by Cadence.
